There have been so many times that I have had allergic reactions and needed to take Benadryl or some other anti-histimine.  The problem is that many times, these allergic reactions are not convenient at all.  They happen in the morning before a busy day for example.  And when that happens, I tend to take naps all through the day.  Even if I take it at night, I wake up the next morning extremely drowsy.

The biggest complaint with users of Sominex is that it causes problems like grogginess and drowsiness the next morning when you wake up.  It can also cause dizziness so they recommend that you don’t drive or operate heavy machinery. Other people notice more headaches after taking Sominex and some people even have a difficult time urinating.

Sominex can be purchased for between $10 and $20 depending on where you get it.  It’s not overly priced but it still may not be worth the cost.  There does not seem to be a guarantee offered for Sominex although that could vary depending on where you purchase it.  When you buy a product with a guarantee you know that the company is confident in their product and they don’t want you to risk using it without seeing results.

There are so many products that are effective and don’t cause side effects which is the reason that Sominex is not my first choice for sleeping pills.  You can find other products that are easier to use and cost about the same amount.  If you have ever used Benadryl or other antihistimines you probably don’t want to try using Sominex especially if you know how it makes you feel.  But the price is low so you won’t lose too much money if you decide to try it and are not satisfied with the results.
