Review for SleepPhones Sleeping Headphones for INSOMNIATREATMENTREVIEWS.COM
What are SleepPhones?
The risk for insomnia is greater if you are a woman, you are over 60 years old, if you have a mental health disorder, you work night shifts and you travel long distances. They encompass a whole lot of people. If you think about it they say over 40 million people have insomnia and most of those are looking for relief. That is why this market has mushroomed and there are so many products and pills out there that claim this will solve your problem with insomnia. Not only do they have pharmaceutical drugs and natural herbal supplements out there but there are gadgets to use to lull you to sleep. One of these that is on the market is SleepPhones. These were invented in 2007 by a family physician Dr. Wei-Shin Lai at Penn State. These are sleeping headphones that you put on your head to go to sleep! No mess with drugs and formulas! They call them the pajamas for your ears! Well doesn’t that sound cozy! Does this really work?
How Does SleepPhones Work?
Well it is fairly simple to use these headphones. They said you fall asleep faster, blocks out snoring and you can relax with music. It is drug free, stress free and they are without painful ear plugs. They claim it relieves stress and you listen to music with wonderfully soft headphones which are the world’s most comfortable headphones for sleeping! This is a lightweight and washable wicking fleece headband that contains thin removable headphones. There is a cord attached that you can plug into your iPod, computer, CD player or MP3 player. They even sell CD’s that have white noise, soothing beats and calming tones to use that they say will help you fall asleep.
Is SleepPhones Safe?
I guess it is fairly safe if you don’t get the cord tangled up and strangles you during the night!
How Much is SleepPhones?
They say they are $49.95 and $54.95 but it does not say why the difference in price and you can add CD’s they produce for a total of $64.95 or $69.95.
SleepPhones Conclusion
It says it blocks out snoring from your partner so you can sleep better. I agree there is nothing more annoying than trying to sleep and having someone snore right next to you. You may get to sleep with soothing sounds but you may lose your hearing in the mean time. I guess that would cure the snoring issue if you are deaf after awhile! It is not good to have constant stimuli in your ears for an extended period of time even if it is at a low volume. My suggestion is to just put on a fan or turn your radio or CD player on to get the same effect. It would be healthier for you because earphones cause the sound to be more concentrated and not as dispersed as a radio or CD player. In fact they are studies showing that earphones from musical technology are causing noise induced hearing loss in some people!! So go look for something that will not in the long run ruin your hearing too. Check out INSOMNIATREATAMENTREVIEWS.COM recommendations for finding a more reliable insomnia cure.
