Flora Sleep Spray
What is Flora Sleep?
There was a study done in the UK by Dr. Dan Robotham at the Mental Health Foundation that found that people with insomnia are four times as likely to have relationship problems and three times more likely to feel depressed. Poor sleep has already been linked to depression, immune deficiency and heart disease. They found in this study that 30% of the people in the United Kingdom have suffered from insomnia. That is a lot of people that are out there suffering. That is why there has been a real explosion of sleep aid drugs and supplements produced because it is realized that this is a huge problem in the general public. People will try anything to get a good night’s sleep and won’t hesitate to spend the money to gain results. There are conventional means to get results to insomnia but that usually involves drugs that are habit forming and addictive and makes you feel groggy the next day. There are herbal natural supplements that are there to provide a person with non habit forming formulas that makes them feel refreshed in the morning. Then there is another alternative called aromatherapy that use essential oils to stimulate the sense of smell and give the quickest effects. One of those is called Flora Sleep. They say it is a unique liquid sleep aid that works as a natural solution that should help you sleep fast. It is non-habit forming and they say encourages a restful undisturbed sleep.
How Does Flora Sleep Work?
Since Flora Sleep is a liquid it has a spray top for direct application or misting—whichever you prefer. I guess you can drench your pillow or lightly mist it! They say either method should seep into your senses helping you rest. It does say it is different than other sleep supplements on the market. I must admit that is a true statement. You do not consume this product, you spray it on topically or you can add it to a warm bath. Flora Sleep has two main ingredients made from flower extracts and essential oils. The two ingredients are California Valerian extract and chamomile extract. What is California valerian? Does it make it better if it comes from California? Additional ingredients include white and red chestnut, olive, aloe vera and alpine aster.
Is Flora Sleep Safe?
Since you do not ingest this product they say it is safe.
How Much is Flora Sleep?
It is found to be around $9.00 for a spray bottle. It may not last long if you need to use a lot for one night.
Flora Sleep Conclusion
If you are into aromatherapy you might find this interesting but there is no evidence that valerian and chamomile extracts have any effect on insomnia when used topically. You may as well just put water on your pillow. The additional ingredients have no association with sleep problems. I think the crazy thing is the instructions say to spray it on your pillow an hour before you go to bed then again when you go to sleep. If you wake up during the night you can spray it again. That would just seem to wake you up even more when you are constantly spraying. Seems like a waste of money, time and energy. I would look at what INSOMNIATREATMENTREVIEWS.COM recommends and go from there.
